We have been told since moving to Regina, that we HAVE to go to a Riders game. There is nothing quite like it. The team is awesome and the fans are even better. Well, it turns out that Dana got given tickets (from his generous boss) and so we got to finally go. We arrived early, fought the crowds, and settled into our bleacher seats. The fans filled the stands and you could only see 'green'. People came in full gear, complete with watermelon helmets. It was quite a cool game. And it poured rain. The whole side of my face was frozen from being pelted with rain. It was actually alot of fun and I know Dana was in his glory. But, being pregnant and with an incredibly sore back, we ended up leaving in the 4th quarter. I just couldn't sit anymore. So we went for hot chocolate, but on the way to the coffee shop we listened to the last of the game. When all of a sudden the announcer said, "What's this... a crazed fan has just sprinted bare foot onto the field. Security guards are in pursuit...." Dana just looked at me as if to say, "I hate you!" We both laughed, but I know he would have loved to see that. The things our husbands do for us, eh? But I must give myself kudoos too. I hate watching sports, especially football. I am almost 9 months pregnant. It feels like I have a knife permanently in my back. And it was pouring rain. I think I put up with my share that day too. 'Go Riders!'
