My Monkey is 4 Months!

Can you believe how fast time has flown by? I can't believe in a month and a half we will be feeding this babe something other than breast milk, that sooner rather than later he will be crawling and we will need to baby proof all over again, and more certain than not our love for him grow a zillion times over with every passing moment. Elijah has fit right into our little family being the perfect baby. He is full of smiles and wonder. He loves looking at his siblings with amazement. He is patient when he needs to be. Already I see such wisdom in his little eyes as he observes the world around him. Kynan and Ava couldn't be more thrilled to have him and truth be known, I think Kynan is counting down until he can wrestle with him. He is so excited to show his little brother all about being brothers. For now though, the kids are so gentle with him: loving him at every opportunity. Elijah is sleeping wonderfully, going to sleep anywhere between 8-10:30pm and sleeping through most nights until 5am for a quick nurse. Some nights are worse than others, now that the little monkey is teething, but I actually don't mind. It's in those quiet moments alone together that we get our most precious moments with each other so I breathe them in. I am so in love with this little dude it's not even funny. I mean just holding him makes you want to have another baby if you already have a child, or just plain want a baby. No joke. Just hold him and you will see. He has that effect. It has been a busy 4 months and I am certain it will only get busier, but no matter how exhausted or over whelmed I feel I am in awe of what wonderful blessings God has given me.

My Prince

So today my little prince melted my heart three times, so I thought I would share his tender thoughts with you:

1. "Mom, you know all the people in the world that don't have food. Well, when I am older I am going to make a machine that makes food out of water. That way no one will ever be hungry. And I will have a pet monkey." {This is the invention from the movie, 'Cloudy With a Chance of Meetballs'. But he put thought behind it about the starving children.}

2. We had just finished reading, 'Magic Hockey Skates', and he said "Mom, if I had magic skates I would rub them and ask to be like Daddy. So sweet!

3. Then, as I tucked him into bed he asked if I would sleep with him as he always does when I tuck him in, he opened his arms and said "You can sleep in my arms mommy." Doesn't that melt your heart.
