Company!

Miller will be here for the next 4 days. Our very first visitor... we are so excited. Sure he will be sleeping on the floor amongst boxes, but we are so blessed to have a friend like him. I AM SO EXCITED. Farmers market tomorrow and possibly a garage sale or two? Science Centre, Museum..... AND Dance Revolutions. I just bought a new game for our xbox and I am thinking late night competition.... Have a great long weekend.

The Great Outdoors...

I know that this is a total mimic of Jen's photo, but how better to capture the whole camping experience???
Little Miss Ava batting her blues...

Mom & Ava trying to be models...

Kynan helping with the firewood... or throwing it... whatev...

Kynan playing 'get me' at the market...

Ava showing her bling off... perfect GAP add I think.
Thanks Sha for the groovy glasses!

What is camping without jiffy pop???

Me and my lovey's... missing one... he's taking the pic...

Weiner roasting time....

Dead fish lake.... it was beautiful besides that rotting fish carcas' everywhere....

Kynan and I posing for a not so great picture....
Our camping experience was definately fun and an adventure in itself. I think it is the first time we have ever gone camping by ourselves.... Dana and I have only been camping twice before. Once at Buckhorn with his family for his birthday, Kynan was 6 months. And again when Kynan was 9 months with Don Folk. That's it for our entire time we have been together.... that's over 7 years... crazy!

An Artistic Afternoon

My creation....

This is what happens when both kids nap for 3 and half hours and when they wake up... they play with each other for one more hour... happy and content. It means mommy is able to get a little creative and finally do something artistic. I have been wanting to do some painting for months and this is what this afternoon produced.... it's for our bedroom. I call it 'blueballs'..... just kidding.

I'm Going Crazy!!!

Ok, I have been inspired to post this by other OCD bloggers I know, her and her, to name a few. As most everyone knows by now, we recently moved. I usually like unpacking and organising all our things into their new home. I look forward to a clean a house where everything in its place. But Dana and I decided to dive right into renovating our new home and have been reluctant to unpack most of our boxes as stuff is easier to move around when it's all together. I look around at the boxes piled in corners and toys astrued all over.... and half started reno projects everywhere.... It drives me crazy. I wish one of my super powers was superspeed so I could just 'get'er'done'. Anyway... I guess that is just part of the gig, but I think i am developing a stress linked tick. Don't shun me when you see me walking down the street with my tick....
For the last 2 days we have been out of touch as we have been out camping in the boonies. Well not really..... unless you call a provincial park the boonies. We travelled out to a little gem about an hour outside Regina called, Echo Lake. Jen and Jordan recommended it. And I have to say they did not disappoint. It really was beautiful with awesome private sites. We spent most of our days walking, playing at the park, reading books, hiking, sleeping, going to the market, playing mini golf .... all the regular camping stuff. We lucked out with great weather and were looking forward to some swimming; however, we took one look at the beach and opt'd not. It was covered... and I mean covered in dead skeleton fish. The lake looked like it would be great for fishing as they were jumping all night; however, I believe the birds had their first pick and they took advantage. It was good to get away... but it is always good coming home.

In other news.... I always thought that one of the perks of breast feeding was that you remain 'infertile' while you are soley breast feeding. At least that is what I have been told, but I have yet to experience this first hand. With Kynan, it only took 2 months before I was able to 'conceive' again. And now again with Ava. At least I made it to 3 months. I guess it's good, but I was looking forward to a few more months friend free.

The Flying Seagulls

Seagulls sitting peacefully one Sunday morning...
The boy spots them and start to run...

No one can stop him...

He is determined to get one...

But they are just too fast...

And in a moment...

Their gone..... the boy defeated.

In Love...

Everytime I look in to her eyes and she smiles... I know I am in love. She amazes me everyday with her curiousity and love for life. She is so smiley. She wakes up in the morning and giggles and smiles at her surroundings until I go get her and then I am greeted with the biggest smile. Even when she sleeps she smiles and giggles in her dreams. She has the same passion for food as her mom, and that is the only time she ever cries... is when she is hungry. As I sit here watching her swing and sleep I am in awe that God has blessed me again with such an amazing child. I am so thankful for her.

Two Lovers, Bath Time & the 'Eye'

Abby chasing Kynan down the slide.

Jen introduced us to this amazing park not too far from where we live. It overlooks a very adorable pond, there are tennis courts, a water park, and a bike trail that circles the entire city. The part I love the best is that the ground is a soft rubber. No gravel or sand to get caught in shoes or push strollers through, just this awesome rubber that softens your falls and hugs your feet as you walk on it. AND the play structure is very kid friendly with almost everything on it accessible for Kynan. Thanks Jen for showing us this hidden playground haven.

Abby being just so adorable.

On his tummy... a new discovery.

Peek-a-Boo, I see you!

I love this picture... Kynan looks like a monkey and Abby is lovingly gazing at him.

Ava loves her bath. She could be down right grumpy, but if you strip her down and plunk her in the bath or any type of water, she calms right down. Yesterday was a great example. No matter what I did, I could not sooth her so we jumped in the tub. She lights me up.

The only time she will go on her tummy, when it's on mommy.

Ava's giggle are priceless.

Kynan's funny face. I think he is trying to pull a Grandpa Hoblak trick. Too funny.

Me today. Yesterday, I woke up with a sore eye, but continued my day as if it would go away. By last night my whole eye was so puffy I could barely see through it. Dana insisted I go see a doctor, so I went first thing this morning to see an optometrist and my suspicions were confirmed... I have a sty. I hate that word. It sounds so unhygienic. It kills, but the doctor says heat compress and washing it out 3 times a day will make it go away in 3-4 weeks!!!! WHAT!!! I have to love with this ugly, painful, disgusting STY for 4 weeks?!?!?! So today I have been compressing the hell out of it and it actually seems to be going down quite a bit. With my luck, I'll get rid of it in a week. Here's to hoping. Like my very sexy, model quality pic? I know... I'm sexy.

Ok, yesterday we bought an attachment for our bike for the kids to sit in. I envisioned many long bike rides, with kids laughing and smiling in the back, and shedding the pounds as we ride along. We just got back from our very first bike ride, and besides the screaming kids in the back, the stroller coming unhooked from my bike (the safety latch works thankfully), and the extremely flat tires..... I am exhausted and SO out of shape. Sadly we just went around our small little block. Sad? Not as sad as the big bowl of honey nut cheerios and strawberries I consoled myself with.

Ava News!

Look at what I can do....
Look at that funky lady bug....

Wait a minute, that rolls!!!

And what is this weird device?!?!?!

Today I decided to try Ava in her exersaucer and guess what, she loves it! She gets tired in it pretty fast, but she loves trying to grab the bugs and rolling the sound maker. She hasn't discovered the mirror yet, but soon enough. Kynan loved his exersaucer too and spent a lot of time in it. Mommy's chore time, play time, meal preparation time, ect.... My little girl is growing up so fast.

The Life of a Mom...

I am sitting in our living room right now listening to Ava coo. She has been sleeping for almost 4 hours in her swing. Crazy! Kynan just woke up from his nap and demanded Mighty Machines. When I put in 'At the Airport', he said "no mom, dirt". So 'At the Cement Yard' it was. His bum is all rashed out because he refused to tell me that he poo'd. He was doing really good, but now is back to not saying anything. Some days I think we are on the brink of potty training him, but then we have a day like today. Anyway, I am a little bored. I was organising my closet, but ran out of hangers. Walmart stop tonight. I then started cutting in the paint in the Kitchen, but ran out of umph. I love the colour. It's called Grass Clothe. I should be making dinner....lasana to celebrate Dana's first day of work, but I still have lots of time before he gets home. So here I am, snuggling with Kynan, blogging and watching Mighty Machines. The life of a mom....

Regina Beach

The new prairie girl.
The new prairie man.

It was very windy, but I love feeling the wind blow in your hair.

Kynan looking for the fishies.

Ava........ just so cute.

Daddy with his darling little girl. Not the beach in background. It was definately pretty.

Kynan playing Diego! He kept saying 'Go Diego, Go!"

That whole point was covered in seagulls. Kynan was in heaven chasing them all.

Dana, the kids and I went for lovely Sunday drive to Regina Beach. The weather crap, but we still managed to get some great pictures.

Prairie Rain

As I read through some Saskatchewan Tourism brochures (my way of educating myself about my new province) I listen to the rain pour down outside. Our first storm since we have been here. It sounds and smells so beautiful. We opened up our front window and just listened to the thunder and watch the lightening strike. Tomorrow we are heading to Regina Beach for the day. It should be fun. We are hoping to go camping next weekend and Miller is coming to visit on the long weekend. Lots of fun and exciting plans.

The Calgary Zoo

This one is for Jaia. Hippos! I had to squeeze between two very large viewers to get this shot. They were very lazy hippos.
Dana telling Kynan to look at the camera. Note the giraff in the background.

Silly Susie.

The Asian Elephant wasn't very photogenic

The whole family. Ava slept throughout most of the park but woke up long enough for this out of focus picture.

The primate building. I love this shot.

In the prehistoric park. Dinosaurs!!!!

The Journey....Pics

My beautiful smiley girl.
Entering Rogers Pass and those Magestic Rockies.

Wide Open Spaces. One of my many nursing stops.
